Phillip Ross Hamilton

Mr. Phillip Ross Hamilton of the Free Hill Community was born on May 3, 1941, and he passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the age of 83 at Celina Health and Rehab.

He attended Darwin High School in Cookeville, Tennessee and worked in the industrial manufacturing field while living in Louisville, Ky.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Edgar Bellis Garrett and Cora Mae Evans, sons: Christopher Paige and Michael Paige; brothers: Joe Evans and Bill Evans; sisters: Gloanna Oldham and Bertha Lee Andrews Shirley; Special Aunt: Jewel Johnson.

He is survived by his Son: Phillip Ross (Levonia) Hamilton Jr. of Tampa, FL; Daughters: Kathy (Bryan) Roberts of Cookeville, TN and Tracy Hamilton of Louisville, KY; Brother: Fred Garrett of Nashville, TN; Sisters: Melanie Kirk of Celina, TN and Jackie (Jerry Smith) Garrett of Hermitage, TN and Brenda Tooley of Tompkinsville, KY.

Grandchildren: Christopher Hamilton, Xavier Nelson, Amira Hamilton and Terrence Paige; great grandchildren: Jlynn, Marley, Blakely, and Prosper; Special Friend: Ken Bartlett and Special Niece: Patricia Jefferson. Numerous other relatives and friends survive.

Visitation services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Clay County Funeral Home 423 Brown St, Celina, TN 38551. Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Clay County Funeral Home with Pastor Frankie Tooley and Brother Bobby Bartlett officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Mount Nebo Cemetery on Cemetery Road Tompkinsville, KY 42167.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Free Hill Church of Christ (Celina, TN) and Church of the First-Born Saints (Tompkinsville, Ky).
