Mary Helen Boots, age 76, of Moss, Tennessee, passed away on April 22, 2026. She was born on June 17, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and lived a life marked by love, faith, and devotion to her family and community. Mary Helen will be remembered as a loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her.
Mary Helen grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from high school, carrying with her the values of hard work, responsibility, and kindness throughout her life. She built a meaningful life through her dedication to her family and her work, and she was respected by all who knew her. Her years were shaped by quiet strength, steady faith, and a deep care for others that touched many lives.
She was retired from Coca-Cola in Tampa, Florida, where she spent her working years with commitment and pride. Her career reflected the dependable and conscientious nature that defined so much of her life. Those who worked alongside her knew her as a person who could be counted on, and she carried herself with grace in every season of life.
Mary Helen was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, where her faith remained an important part of her life. Her church family and all who shared in her worship will remember her devotion and the gentle spirit she brought to her faith journey. She lived with a heart guided by prayer, compassion, and trust in God.
Family was the center of Mary Helen’s life, and she cherished her sons, Jimmy Jon Boots of Chicago, Illinois, and Jason Ray Boots of Corbin, Kentucky. She took great pride in her grandchildren, Megan Boots of Florida, Sydney Boots of Florida, Colby Boots of Florida, and Mackenzie McPeak of Connecticut, and she was blessed to know her great-grandchildren, Oaklynn Clark of Florida and Kenslee Clark of Florida. Her love extended deeply through the generations, and her family will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lee McPeak and Marjorie McPeak, as well as her brothers, David McPeak and Steve McPeak, and her sister, Patricia Jennings. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life, and she now joins them in eternal rest.
Mary Helen’s life was a beautiful reflection of devotion, resilience, and tenderness. She had a way of making others feel cared for and valued, and she leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her family and friends will remember her for her kindness, her faith, and the steady love she gave so freely.
Though her earthly journey has come to an end, the impact of Mary Helen Boots’ life will remain for generations. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
The Boots family has chosen cremation with a memorial service at a later date.
