Marsha Atchley Burris

Marsha Atchley Burris was born on February 9, 1951, in Celina, TN and she passed away at Integrity Healthcare of Celina on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the age of 75.

Marsha was the daughter of Cecil Raymond Atchley and Anna Floyd Maxwell Atchley. She was a member of Free Hills Church of Christ, a former factory worker at Osh-Kosh in Celina, and later a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Wilson Burris who passed Nov. 21, 2024; daughter, Sonya Strong; brothers, Frankie Atchley and Lewis Atchley; niece, Ann Deckard.

Survived by her daughters, Kaitlyn Hix of Moss, TN, Anastasia Burris of Celina, TN, and Lindsey Burris of Cookeville, TN; brother, James (Tiffany) Atchley of Celina, TN; sister, Jennifer (Donald) Adams of Celina, TN; grandchildren, Dawson Montgomery, Laikynn Phillips, Callie Phillips, Brynleigh Rybolt, Nehemiagh Schmidt along with a host of nieces and nephews and special niece, Brandi Atchley.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 19th  from 3:00-9:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00-3:00 p.m. at Clay County Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clay County Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy Page officiating. Burial will follow in the Free Hills Cemetery.
