Margaret Denton

Margaret Denton was born on September 27, 1951 in Jackson County, TN and passed away at her residence on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the age of 74.

Margaret was the daughter of Carlos Durell Collins and Mary Francis Roach Collins. She was a member of Celina Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, husband, William "Shorty" Denton; granddaughter, Tracy Smith.

Survived by: son, William (Joost Kemink) Denton of San Francisco CA; daughters, Melissa (Troy Whitemouse) Smith of Moss TN, Amanda (Ryan) Lacy of Celina TN; brother, Donald (Carol Sue) Collins of Celina TN; grandchildren, Mason (Paige) Smith, Kaylee (Mason) Spivey, Martina Riddle, Kyndel Woods, Myles Lacy; great grandchild, Jack Smith; nephews, Dustin (Jodi) and Brandon Collins; Aunt: Hallie Rhoton of Celina.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 9 am to 9 pm; Sunday 8 am to 2 pm at Clay County Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Clay County Funeral Home with Bro. Alan Judd officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery.
