Linda “Kendall” Birdwell, born on August 18, 1950, in Mooresville, Indiana, and she passed away on June 6, 2026, at her residence. She was a kind, friendly, and generous woman whose presence brought warmth and comfort to those around her. Her life, though brief, was marked by the love of her family and the quiet strength with which she carried herself.
Linda was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and family member whose memory will remain cherished by all who knew her. She was a homemaker by trade and by heart, and she found meaning in caring for her home and the people she loved. Her life reflected the values of devotion, patience, and kindness. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit and the way she made others feel welcome and cared for.
She is survived by her brother, Mike Kendall and his wife Julie of Mooresville, Indiana; her sisters, Shelia Collins of Green Castle, Indiana; and Brenda Kendall of Green Castle, Indiana. Nieces and nephews also survive and will carry forward the memory of her loving nature. Her family was an important part of her life, and she treasured the bonds she shared with them.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, William Miller Kendall and Dorothy Mae Kendall; her husband, Cancel Birdwell; her brothers, Billy Kendall and Denise Kendall; and her sisters, Sharon Peyton, Pam Collins, Deborah Collins, Beverly Kendall, and Diane Kendall. She was welcomed into eternal rest by those who went before her, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is reunited with them.
In her quieter moments, Linda enjoyed simple pleasures that brought her happiness. She liked bingo and board games, and these interests reflected her love of companionship, laughter, and time spent with others. Whether gathered around a table for a game or enjoying the company of family and friends, she found joy in life’s everyday moments. Her friendly nature and generous heart made her a blessing to those around her.
Linda will be remembered for the love she gave, the kindness she showed, and the many ways she touched the lives of others. Her family and friends will forever hold close the memories of her warm smile, her caring ways, and the comfort of her presence. Though her time on earth was short, the impact of her life will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
To honor her wishes, Linda will be cremated.
Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
