Elzar Hargis, Jr. was born on August 8, 1965, in Indianapolis, IN and he passed away at Livingston Regional Hospital on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the age of 60.

Elzar was the son of Elzar Hargis, Sr and Jewel Abner Dillon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Elzar is survived by his sons: Alan Jo Hargis of Franklin, IN and Elzar Aaron Hargis III of Indianapolis, IN; step-son, Daniel (Jaclyn) Winningham of Lafayette, TN; sisters: Carol (Mark) Beavers of Dacula, GA, Cathy (Dennis) Mills of Indianapolis, IN, and Cheri (Dan) Donovan of Brownsburg, IN; eleven grandchildren; wife: Tammy Dishman of Celina, TN.

The family has chosen cremation at this time.
