Effie "Mae" Maxwell

Effie Mae Maxwell was born April 22, 1946, in Celina, TN and she passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in Livingston Regional Hospital at the age of 77. 

Mae was the daughter of JD Delk and Clarsie Mae Delk.  

Survivors include her sons, Wally (Morene) Maxwell and Billy “Cornbread” (Girlfriend Christina Fisher) Maxwell both of Celina; daughter, Vickie (Champ) Smith of Celina; sister, Ann (Ronnie) Hunt of Nashville; sister-in-law Evelyn Delk; grandchildren, Bryan Brown and Brandi McLerran; 5 great grandchildren. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents JD and Clarsie Delk; husband Charles Maxwell; brothers William and James Delk; sister Irene Jennings.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 10 to 1 pm at Clay County Funeral Home.   Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 1pm in the Chapel of Clay County Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery.
