Dorinda Lee Raines O'Dell

Ms. Dorinda Lee Raines O’Dell, age 69 of Sparta, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital.

Dorinda was born February 1, 1957 in the Hermitage Springs Community to the late James Homer and Dolly Louise Daniels Raines. She was a longtime employee of Federal Mogul in Smithville. Dorinda was always ready for a road trip or a shopping excursion, but wherever she was, she was proudly the center of attention. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her large and extended family but especially for the ones that knew her as Nanny.

In addition to her parents, Dorinda is also preceded in death by an infant son Cecil Price; sister Loretta Worthington and brother Joey Raines.

Surviving family members include her daughter Penny Price

Two sons: Nick (Amber) Price, Justin (Rebecca) O’Dell

Grandchildren: Michael, Noah, Dustin, Sierra, Owen, Nicki, Brett, Peighton, Grayson, Allen, Shuttera, Avaree, Rilynn, Joey and Ciara

Great-grandchildren: Kolton and Caroline

Sisters: Glenda Donahue, Elaine Allen, Sherry Bennett, Bobbie Joe Burton

Brother: Billy Raines

Several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00am Thursday, July 23, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Tollison Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8:00pm Wednesday at Hunter Funeral Home. Brother Howard Gortor will officiate.

Nick Price, Justin O’Dell, Noah Price, Dustin Price, David Kirby and Michael Kirby will serve as pallbearers.
