Donna “Murray” Likens, age 58, of Union Hill, Tennessee, passed away on April 11, 2026. She was born on December 28, 1967, in Hartsville, Tennessee, and throughout her life she was known as a loving, friendly, and kind woman who touched the hearts of many with her warm spirit and gentle presence.

Donna was a devoted wife to her husband, Alan Likens, and a loving mother whose family meant everything to her. She is survived by her son, Lucas Likens and his wife, Sherrie, of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, and daughter, Marranda Ann Grooms of Cookeville, Tennessee. She also leaves behind her mother, Cary Ann Murray, her sisters, Debbie Pickle of Columbia, Tennessee, and Denise Copass of Hermitage Springs, Tennessee, and her mother-in-law, Barbara Likens. Donna was blessed with many grandchildren, including Brady Likens, TE Alan Likens, Katlynn Carnahan, and Jaslynn Grooms, as well as step-grandchildren Liberty Hawkins and Hunter Reid. She was also a proud great-grandmother to Asher Lee. Her family circle was further enriched by her brother-in-law; Ray Likens and his wife, Patsy. She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Murray, and her grandson, Shooter Augustus. 

Donna grew up in Union Hill and carried the values of hard work, compassion, and family with her throughout her life. She completed her high school education and later earned her associate degree in LPN. Her calling to care for others led her into the nursing profession, where she served as an LPN with dedication and kindness. She took great pride in helping others and in offering comfort, encouragement, and support to those in need. Her work reflected the same gentle heart that she shared so freely with her family and friends. 

Those who knew Donna will remember her for the way she made others feel welcome and cared for. She had a friendly nature that put people at ease and a loving spirit that remained constant through all seasons of life. She valued simple joys, treasured time with loved ones, and found meaning in the relationships she built over the years. Her presence brought reassurance and warmth, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. 

Donna’s life was a testament to devotion, strength, and kindness. She faced life with grace and a generous heart, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried forward by her family for generations to come. Though her earthly journey has ended, the impact of her life remains deeply felt by all who loved her. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared and the many ways she enriched their lives. A traditional obituary would not be complete without acknowledging the many roles Donna fulfilled with quiet dignity and care. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and nurse, and in each of these roles she gave of herself with sincerity and love. Her life was marked by faithfulness to those she loved and by a steady compassion that made a difference in everyday moments. She will be remembered not only for what she did, but for who she was, a kind and loving woman whose heart was open to others. Donna “Murray” Likens will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and strength, and her legacy of love will continue to shine through the lives of those she leaves behind.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday, April 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. till time of the service. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Clay County Funeral Home.
