Deresa Napier was the daughter of the late James Pete Slate and Bernice Gardner Slate. She worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother: James Pete Slate, Jr.
Survivors include her significant other: Mary Ratcliff of Celina; son: Skylar and wife Elizabeth Napier of Livingston; very special friends: Pam Burton of Indiana and Judy Rodgers of Ohio; other relatives and friends also survive.
The family has chosen cremation at this time.
